John also won the best weight in competition with a 73lb+ haul of carp from Iden Wood fishery. An 18lb+ carp was also successfully landed on the pole during the match. Ray Wilkinson was leading with a 30lb bag from Rye Nook for most of the year untill one of the final winter matches when I managed to pip him just.........      </content:encoded>

Lydd Angling Club is a mixed fishery and throughout the coming years we hope to share some memorable catches with you. The first one is this perch of 2Lb 8ozs caught from peg 2.
