Fish in Lake Serene

One mad few days on Lake Serene last June showing a 32, 33, 35 and finally a 36lb carp, all caught from Lake Serene. And the final photo shows the lake viewed from the Beeches.

PB Grass Carp

 

 

This is my PB Grass (the only one I've ever caught actually) caught earlier this year from Lake Serene in France. There are Grass carp to over 40lbs present so this one is a baby.

2005/6 Trophy Winner

Yours truly with the 2005/6 Specimen trophy for a 2lb 11oz Perch from Nicholls Leisure in Hythe. John also won the best weight in competition with a 73lb+ haul of carp from Iden Wood fishery. An 18lb+ carp was also successfully landed on the pole during the match. Ray Wilkinson was leading with a 30lb bag from Rye Nook for most of the year untill one of the final winter matches when I managed to pip him just.........

2005/6 Junior Winner

Well done Michael. The best junior in the club, well for the 2005/6 summer season anyway. Lets see how he gets on this year especially as I might enter this category as I can't win against the seniors!

Well done Dave Hughes who along with Andy Lindsey were the Pairs winners. I understand from Dave that he done considerably better than Andy and carried him..... I've no evidence to support this.

My mates biggest ever fish

This is my mate. I felt it neccessary to tell the rest of the world about this fish even though he's told most of you already. He'd also like me to admit to being jealous, well just a bit....

Well done mate it looks a cracking fish. For those of you who don't know he had two Tuna while holidaying in Mauritius both just over a 100lb.

First Carp for Rachel

Rachel enjoyed catching her first ever carp from Lydd Heron's park. As the photgraph show's Rachel would appear to be pleased. Has she stopped talking about it yet mum?

Specimen Perch

Lydd Angling Club is a mixed fishery and throughout the coming years we hope to share some memorable catches with you. The first one is this perch of 2Lb 8ozs caught from peg 2. The capture fell to Chris Haswell using maggot fished on a pole at about 8m.
