LYDD ANGLING CLUB
CLUB RULES
ANY MEMBER NOT ABIDING BY THE CLUB RULES COULD BE ASKED TO EXPLAIN THEIR ACTIONS TO THE COMMITTEE.
That for the purpose of good fellowship and fair angling, this Club be formed and called the Lydd Angling Club and that the financial year shall close on the 31st. March.
That there shall be a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and Match Secretary elected every 3 years. The General Committee to be elected annually, to consist of a minimum of 10 members, any 7 of the above to form a quorum (not including the Chairman).
That in the event of a vacancy or vacancies arising among the officers or members of the Committee, the Committee shall have the power to fill such vacancies until the next AGM.
That the Committee Meeting of this Club will be held monthly throughout the year or at the discretion of the Committee. Date of the AGM to be 2nd. Sunday in February each year. The accounts to be submitted at each AGM.
Subscriptions are to be reviewed annually. No person is to fish or have privileges of the Club until such subscriptions are paid.
That the Club shall not cease to exist if 5 members decide to carry on, but in the case the Club is broken up, the property of the Club shall be disposed of and all funds standing to the credit of the Club be divided equally between 2 established charities.
That the Club may rent waters or do anything needful to carry out the objects for which it is established.
That any members wishing to propose a motion for the better regulation of the Club may do so at any Committee meeting, but that no additions or alterations be made to the rules, except at the AGM, notice in writing of such intended alterations having been given at the previous Committee meeting.
That the Committee be of local anglers living within a 12 mile radius of Lydd, with a maximum of 2 anglers from outside of this radius.
Members must be in possession of their membership card when fishing Club waters and a valid Environment Agency licence at all times.
Swims must be kept clear of litter and no tackle to be discarded. No fires to be lit.
In all matters the Committee’s decision shall be final. The Committee shall have the power to exclude any member, if necessary. In the event of exclusion, only the member involved shall have the right to call a General Meeting, and by a majority vote be re-admitted to the Club.
Junior members must be accompanied by an adult at all times whilst on Club waters.
To be eligible for Junior Membership, the applicant must not have reached their 16th birthday by 1st April.
Membership to run from 1st April to 31st March.
Non-toxic shot to be used at all times.
Neither Lydd Angling Club, nor its Officers shall be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury suffered by any Member.
No rods to be left unattended unless clear of the water.
Complimentary Ticket holders and guest members have no voting powers.
On match days the lake will be closed from 07.00 to 17.00 to anglers not taking part in the match.
Club waters are to be approached only by authorised means of access. All gates to be locked.
Live baiting is allowed only if caught at the same location on the same day as fishing.
No boats, dinghies or radio controlled boats of any kind to be used for any purpose on LAC waters.
No drift float fishing when boats are on the water.
